“Survey 2025-2026”

The Georgia Department of Education announced a December 1, 2025–March 31, 2026 administration window. https://georgiainsights.gadoe.org/october-30-2025-superintendents/

Sample size
“Student Questions (Grades 6-12)”

The questionnaire covers grades 6–12 but does not report an achieved sample size. No 2025–26 results report is included among the archived sources.

Age range
“Student Questions (Grades 6-12)”

Grades 6–12. Self-harm and suicide follow-ups are shown only to students who answer Yes to the relevant behavior-or-consideration question.

Harms measured

Bullying
“This year at this school……” “how often are you cyber-bullied by phone, email, social media, or text messaging?”Response options: Never / 1 or 2 times this year / 1 or 2 times a month / 1 or 2 times a week / Almost every day / Skip

Q41 asks about the respondent’s cyberbullying frequency this school year. The definition on p. 3 restricts cyberbullying to school or online school activities.

Self-Harm
“During the past 12 months,…” “what were your reasons for harming yourself or seriously considering harming yourself on purpose? (Select all that apply)”“what were your reasons for attempting or seriously considering attempting suicide? (Select all that apply)”Response options: Demands of schoolwork / Problems with peers or friends / Social media / Family reasons / Being bullied / School grades or performance / School discipline or punishment / Relationship related argument or breakup / Dating violence / Drugs or alcohol / Other

Q57 and Q60 allow Social media as a reason for self-harm, suicide attempts or serious consideration of either, among students answering Yes to the relevant screen. This is self-reported attribution, not exposure to self-harm content or evidence of causation.

Offline or broader-context measurement

Bullying
“This year at this school……” “how often are you bullied?”Response options: Never / 1 or 2 times this year / 1 or 2 times a month / 1 or 2 times a week / Almost every day / Skip

Q40 asks about the respondent’s bullying frequency at school. The definition on p. 3 includes physical and nonphysical behavior; incidents are not separated into online and offline locations.

Self-Harm
“During the past 12 months,…” “on how many occasions have you harmed yourself on purpose?”Response options: On no occasion / On 1-2 occasions / On 3-5 occasions / On more than 5 occasions

Q56 counts self-harm occasions. Asked only after a Yes response to the corresponding past-year behavior-or-consideration screen. Zero occasions is possible when a student considered the behavior but did not carry it out. These behavior counts do not separate online and offline circumstances.
