About This Project
The Youth Online Safety Index (YOSI) compiles population-level survey data on online harms experienced by children and adolescents across the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia. Our goal is to make existing research more transparent and accessible so that youth, parents, platforms, policymakers, and civil-society groups can make better-informed decisions about online safety. Even when stakeholders disagree on the best way to reduce harms, it’s important to have a consistent way to measure them, as it enables a common understanding of what is working and where improvement is needed.
